Website Privacy Policy
1. Scope
Curcio Law PLLC (the “Firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, retain, and protect personal information through our website and related communications, including text messages. This Policy does not replace our professional duties of confidentiality or the terms of an attorney- client engagement agreement.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect information you voluntarily provide when you contact us, submit an inquiry, or communicate with us, including your name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, and the contents of your communications. Please do not send sensitive or confidential information
through this website unless we have instructed you to do so using an appropriate method.
3. How We Use Information
We use information you provide to respond to inquiries, communicate with you about requested services, administer our relationship with you, maintain records, protect the security of our operations, and meet applicable legal and professional obligations. We will obtain consent where
required before using your information for a purpose requiring consent.
4. Text-Messaging Privacy and Non-Disclosure
We will not sell, rent, share, transfer, or otherwise provide your text-messaging information to third parties. This includes your mobile telephone number collected for texting, text-message contents and related records, and text-messaging opt-in data and consent records. We will not
provide this information to third parties or affiliates for marketing, advertising, lead generation, or their own use.
We use text-messaging information only to communicate directly with you about your inquiries, requested services, or relationship with the Firm, and to maintain your messaging preferences and consent records.
The only exception to this non-disclosure commitment is a disclosure required by applicable law or valid compulsory legal process. We will limit any such disclosure to the information legally required.
The general disclosure provisions elsewhere in this Policy do not authorize disclosure of text-messaging information. If any provision conflicts with this section, this section controls with respect to text-messaging information.
5. Text-Messaging Choices
Providing your telephone number does not, by itself, constitute consent to receive marketing text messages. Where consent is required, we will obtain it before sending the applicable messages. Consent to marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing services. You may withdraw your consent to receive text messages at any time by contacting us at acurcio@curciolawpllc.com or (516) 809-8483. We will honor opt-out requests and maintain records needed to respect those requests.
Message frequency depends on your communications with us and the services you request.
Message and data rates may apply. Text messaging is not intended for emergencies or time-sensitive legal instructions; please call our office for urgent matters.
6. Other Disclosures
Except for text-messaging information, which is governed exclusively by Section 4, we may disclose personal information to service providers assisting with website operation, information security, or administrative services, but only as needed for those services and subject to appropriate confidentiality and use restrictions. We may also disclose information as required by law or valid legal process, or as otherwise permitted by applicable law and our professional obligations to protect legal rights and prevent fraud or security threats.
7. Information Security and Retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including applicable legal, professional, recordkeeping, and dispute-resolution requirements. We may retain limited opt-out and consent records to document and honor your communication preferences.
8. Your Privacy Requests
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to ask about our privacy practices. We will respond as required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and legal or professional obligations may
limit our ability to delete certain records.
9. External Websites
Our website may link to websites operated by others. This Policy does not govern those websites. Please review their privacy policies before providing personal information.
10. No Attorney-Client Relationship
Visiting our website, submitting an inquiry, or sending us a text message does not, by itself, create an attorney-client relationship. Please do not send confidential information before we confirm an appropriate attorney-client relationship and communication method.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable requirements. We will post the updated Policy with a revised effective date and provide any additional notice or obtain any consent required by applicable law. An update will not retroactively authorize the sale or
voluntary third-party disclosure of text-messaging information collected under the non-disclosure commitment in this Policy.
